Remembrance Sunday – 12th November

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

People across the nation will pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by our brave servicemen and women.

If you are attending the cenotaph in London or more locally, Montys can make sure you are smartly turned out.

Smart suits, dark overcoats, blazers, trousers, shirts and regimental ties and blazer badges are in stock.

Any tailoring required can be swiftly carried out by our own tailoresses.

Northampton will be honouring members of the armed forces who died in the line of duty with a Remembrance Sunday parade and service. The Mayor of Northampton will lead a procession from the Guildhall to All Saints Church for a service on Sunday. After the Divine Service the parade will assemble in George Row. The traditional two minutes silence will begin at 11AM on the first stroke of All Saints’ clock. A laying of wreaths will then follow.
